Kids + Snow=Great fun!!

ok here we go!!! I hope that 2011 is Great for us (and you too)!!
Here are some of my goals I hope to accomplish this year:
1-have a healthy baby
2-be in shape to run a 5k in May
3-read my bible EVERY day
4-stregthen my faith in God
5-be a better friend to my friends
6-be a better parent to my kids
7-be a better wife to my husband
8-save money for a real family vacation
9-be ready and do the Warrior Dash in August
10-stick to my budget, and couponing(save $$$)
11-try not to complain too much, and be thankful for everything i do have

Ok I think that is all I can think of right now--there is more I am sure!!!
I hope you all have a Great Year in 2011--it can only get better!!!!

This year I have learned I have some AMAZING friends!!!! They have been there with me thru bad and good!! Some have left but that is ok and probably the way it is meant to be!!
But this year I am gonna give Deana the Friend of the Year Award (you dont really get anything but it is an honor--hahah)  Every time I am down, something shows up at my door--flowers, candy, card!! Like today someone rings the doorbell--a bouquet of flowers in the hands of the flower man--I just smiled--it truley made my day!!

Now dont get me wrong the rest of you are just as awesome!! whether you are far way or close by, the fact that you are all here for me means ssssoooo much!!! Cause I know I vent ALOT--LOL and someone is always there to listen to me!!
I hope that I am a good friend to you all--I really do TRY!!!! Sometime I may fail at it, or am very bad at it.....but not intentially of course!!!

I hope to be the best friend you all have ever had in 2011, and I can't wait to be there to help you with anything any of you need!!!! 

What a day!!

Ok I had my breakdown and am ok now...time to get to the solution!!
So our house is going to be foreclosed on and we have known this for a few months now, well dummy me handed this whole situation over to Ian because I got tired of dealing with the BS.  Well that was mistake #1, he is the biggest procrastinator I have ever met it my life (don't get me wrong I still  love him, I married him with all his faults--lol  So we have know the auction date of the house was Jan 12--well it seems that has snuck up on us hasn't it.  But he thinks we can short sale it--and the only way they will stop the auctioning is if there is an offer on the house--um in 11 days I don't think so.  Then the realtor was like they haven't evicted you yet?? She was totally shocked but that and goes I think your #1 priority should be to find a place to live--DUH!!!! Seriously--So thanks to many great friends out there I have about 5 rentals to go look at tomorrow....Hope we can get into one of the ASAP!!! (and that they take pets!!)
I seriously just want this over with, it doesn't help that #5 can come at any time--I hope she holds off till we are in a new place!!!!

So that is all my venting, now to move forward and get things done!!!

Little Miss Thing

She refuses to color with the paper on the crayon, so she has successfully unwrapped all 200 + crayons she got for christmas!!

Finally we get some snow!! Kids are excited!! But people sure do forget how to drive when the white stuff flies (stay home people!!!)

2010 in review

WHAT a year....so many emotions this year...happy, sad, depressed, disappointed and so on!!
Lets start at the beginning and I hope I don't leave anything out (hahaha)
In January, A, B and I headed to AZ to welcome my niece- little miss Alyssa to the world, she came on Jan 27th and a cutie she is!!!! In February we actually got to go skiing a couple times (well not me someone had to keep B entertained in the Lodge) But A had his first skiing adventure and of course LOVED it, Q started snowboarding and loves it also--Wish I had the money so we could do it more often!!!
The spring flew by Z was in track and ran ran ran !!!!! School ended and summer began--busy busy!!
I worked at the Jucco games which was fun and kept me busy without kids--heehee.  After that the kids and I headed to AZ to prepare for Lou's wedding. AND IT WAS HOT!!! But we had fun, got our dresses picked out and swam alot to keep cool. On the way home we stopped at the Grand Canyon--it was amazing but defiantly not a day trip--need to stay a few more days to really enjoy it all (maybe this year).  While in AZ, Kasey kept making fun of me saying I was gonna have 5 kids just because......so of course I became paranoid and when we got home took a test--YEP baby #5 on its way!!!!
We had a Relay for Life team with Deana and did awesome this year!! We raised more money than we expected and had so much fun on relay night (and Z ran and ran--lol)
 In July the kids and I made a fast trip to KS to see some friends but it was way to short, this year we will make it a little longer!!
 FINALLY school starts again and I can get a normal routine in order (hahah)...Q started football and we were consumed by it--practice everyday and games on Saturday--busy busy BUT the kid is good and has great potential!!!
 In Sept the A and B and me headed back to AZ for the wedding--very exciting and I had to have my dress altered because of course when i got it, it did not fit!! So it was a busy get ready 2 weeks (and it was HOT and i was 20 weeks preggo--ugh) Ian and Z flew in a few days before--and the wedding went off without a hitch and was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!! We made it home safe and sound and back to the business, after Q's football-Z started Basketball and rocked it this year--even got his first foul, I was very proud!!! We had ups and downs with Z though but parenting doesn't come with a book so we get through it!! Holidays came and went and now I am more then ready to start a new better year!!!
Z-turned 13 and boy that is a fun age (hahahah NOT) He grew like 5 inches and keeps growing.  He is doing great in school and next year will be heading to HS (which of course is more scary for me than him)  He made honors orchestra (which is an honor!!) Trying to prepare myself for this next year with him--lol He still thinks his life sucks but oh well you are 13 get over it!!
Q-turned 12 and attitude kicked in (fun times in the hyrup house) He rocked football this year...if he stays out of trouble he will go far in this sport!! He started middle school and is doing good!!
A-turned 4 and is a shadow of his brothers!! He makes me laugh so much with his Aydanisms!!! He is in preschool 3 days a week and loves it!!!
B-the princess turned 2 and wow her attitude also popped!! She is very independent and has a mind of her own!!! And she talks SSSOOO much, but I love to listen to the conversations she has!!
Ian- works his butt off for us, so we don't see him as much as we would like!! But love him dearly for the work he does.  And when he is home the kids fight for his attention (which i know he loves)
Me-Well I am 32 weeks preggo--need I say more....I try to get through each day being thankful for what I have but some days it is really hard.....friends have come and gone, and for all good reason..because I do believe EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON!!!
Finances absolutely sucked, our house is in foreclosure mode--which might mean something better is out there (i hope) I just hope we find a rental we can afford soon!!!!
Now that the holidays are done it is time to prepare for this baby, pack pack the house up in preparation to move and get our budget in order--cuttin bills for sure, couponing!!! This might be hard at first but we got to do what we got to do, right?!?!?
So I think I got most of our year.....but I am sure I missed something--lol

32 weeks

and 8 to go (maybe less if I am lucky--heehee)
So the dr apt went all good, I told him I feel huge--and he goes wow you are huge--I am measuring 3-4 weeks ahead, so in two weeks I get another sono to see how big this princess is!!!!

Merry Christmas!!

We had a great Christmas Eve...We started off shopping early but got everything done before the mad rush to the mall and walmart!!! Then we went to Ian's aunts house for her famous potato soup!!! We got to meet Miss Maddie (Ian's sisters baby girl) she is a cutie!!!! We came home played Santa and went to bed--this mama was TIRED!!!

Christmas day, Well I was up at 5 (not by choice but dancing going on in my tummy!!!) then went back to bed at 6:30--all the kids slept till 8:30 (so that was nice!!) The fun began--lots of gifts and happy kids!!! Z got his phone, all the boys got DSis and B got lots of babies and princess dolls!!!  We arent going anywhere at all today--gonna play play play!!

Aydan's Program

I love watching little 3 and 4 yr olds do programs, cause you never know what will happen!!!
There was a little boy who was rolling all around on the front row, laying down, not a care in the world, then a little girl who kept pulling her dress over her head. There were some loud singers and Aydan who didnt sing at all but did all the motions--LOL Good times

Save me some $$$

So I am on a new adventure to save some money==couponing!!! I have a friend from HS on FB who totally rocks this.....and my good friend Deana took me to a class last night!! I am so ready to try this and get it started!! Wish me luck on saving tons of money!!! Oh and PS if you get the Sunday paper and do not use the coupons PLEASE PLEASE save them for me :)

The boys had their orchestra concert last night!! They did very good, and it is so neat to hear how far they have come!!!

Goodies for today

So I felt blah today so I made the kids some fast and easy goodies!!

Fruity Pebbles Marshmallow Treats!!

White Trash Mix=3 cups Rice chex, 3 cups corn chex, 3 cups cherrios, 2 cups pretzels, 2 cups peanuts and 2 cups m&ms--melt white almond bark-mix all together and let dry

Dad has beer!!

So I just love listening to Brooklyn talk, she has this high pitch voice.....So last night I was in bed and she wouldn't go to sleep. I heard Ian pulls in about 10:30 and told her "dad is home" So she slides of the bed and heads for the door, then goes "dad me open it" and opens the front door (at this point I am really hoping it is him and not some serial killer--LOL)
So it was him and she starts jabbering then yells to me
B-"mom, dad has beer"
M-eeew beer is yucky
B-dad beer yucky---At this point I am laughing because she so just told on him and she keeps jabbering to him and you have to pretendyou know what she is saying or she gets mad.
Then she yells
B-dad me go poop--so they run to the bathroom
D-did you get into the makeup brooklyn? (she had it all over her face)
B-yes, right there is the make up, you like make up dad?
D-no I dont like make up
B-well mom does
D-why arent you in bed?
B-cause me go poop (in her duh, tone)

They go one for quite awhile, it cracks me up the conversations she has!!!

So she is fully potty trained but can't go into the bathroom by herself....gggrrr to this Ian replies "she is a female you all can't go alone remember" (ok I had to laugh!!)

Open my eyes

So I have been volunteering at the Salvation Army, and I never knew how much they do.  It has truly opened my eyes, and I have realized that I do complain alot BUT others have it way way worse than me.  I work with a 23 yr old girl, who I got to talking too.  She told me she works there cause she is in the "Program", because she has 3 drug felonies and was having a terrible time kicking hte habit, I was like what program?? Well the SA has a rehab program, they take these people (whom others have given up on) they put them in housing, give them work at the SA, have counseling, feed them and the whole nine yards....they have a strict program each person has to go thru and so on.  After hearing all this, learning that 95% of the workers there are in this program and they are all very nice people.  So it has had me thinking for weeks, and my heart just grows knowing I get to be around these people!!!  And makes me realize that yes we have HUGE financial troubles but there are kids and people out there who have it so much worse, and these people come in every day happy to get another chance. 
The SA has also stepped up to get the Toy Run going for kids in need because Toys for Tots didn't this year...This is an another program that is close to my heart...Many years ago when the boys were small the only way they got a christmas was because of a program like this...Since then I take the kids out to pick out toys for kids in need because I want to teach them that Christmas isn't just about you, there are kids who get nothing and i want them to learn to care enough to give, I do not want to raise selfish kids!!!  Two years ago a very good friend saw us struggling very much and her family adopted us for christmas and we can home Christmas eve to a room full of presents!! And I will forever be eternally grateful for all of them!! It is people like this who know that you are too stubborn to ask for help and help you anyways!!
At Thanksgiving they took meals to families who couldn't afford one...while I was working there we collected 1000 turkeys--AWESOME!!!!
There are so many programs that go on in town that us everyday ordinary people have no idea that goes on.  I am so glad I have had the opportunity to see from the inside that there are very caring and giving people and programs out there!!! 
So I guess I a rambling in this post but this season I have seen it all from a different point of view, more like the behind the scenes and I want to do so much more.  If I have more $$ I would be out there helping any way I could, but I don't so I am doing what I can do to help-volunteering, we did get toys for the toy run--becuase every little bit helps!!
So how has this all really changed me?? It is helping me keep my faith alot more and easier (since the past few months I have lost it), I have been reading my bible every day and praying like crazy-not only for me but for everyone in my life!!!
I hope as you read this you too realize that we are truly blessed, and if those who are in worse situations can get thru it so can we!!!
