Our weekend breakdown

we had such a fun time with grandma and grandpa here this weekend (it was really great to see for ourselves that grandma is doing really really good!!) Friday we enjoyed some pizza at the local pizza joint!!! Saturday I took Zach to audition for state choir in Fort Collins and Gma and Gpa got to watch Aydan play soccer!!! Then we napped and ventured out to the lake near us for some family pics!! Not sure how they turned out but grandma will post those soon!!! We had chicken fajitas for dinner and Steven and Caity came by--we of course had to show off all out lit up pumpkins!!!
On Sunday we went to a Halloween party with Cassie's family--the kids had so much fun and I ate too many cake pops!!!!

So excited

The kids are ecstatic because Grandma and Buttercup are coming to visit (sorry Grandpa--you come in third) They are buzzing around going "when will she be here" Me "after school" hahah
AND Ian is cleaning the bathrooms--I know!!! I would have taken a picture but he to me to get that camera away from him hahahah
So the house should be clean for about the first 10 minutes when they get here--after that I can't promise anything!!!

Halloween Craft time

They love craft time--and if I am organized--I love it too--lol
We made cottonball ghosts, painted pumpkins and Aydan made a Qtip Skeleton!!!

We love balloons

Almost every morning we get to see these amazing hot air balloons!!! This morning there were 9 in the sky and when we got to soccer one went right over us--they even yelled hello down to us--then landed in a nearby field!!! It was awesome!!!

Web full of spiders

I got the mom of the day award when I brought home spider webs to decorate with and a bunch of plastic spiders!! Aydan has been tending to the web and placing and replacing spiders for 2 days now....(each spider has to be in the right spot!!)

The weather is getting cooler, time to start knitting/crocheting!!

First up Aydan requested a black bomb angry bird hat--done!!!

Then I needed one, tried out a new stitch..love it!!! Next request for Quintin, then Savannah and Aubry when I get the colors they want!!

What mouse??

MICKEY MOUSE!!! So Zach gets to go to Disney World over spring break to sing with the advanced choir group!! How exciting!!! Families are invited to come along to-I would LOVE to take the littles but we will just wait on that, for now we will be doing alot of fundraising to make sure Zach gets there!!!

I thought it would be better

So when we made the decision to move to Denver, I had in my mind--it was gonna be great!! So many things to do, more opportunity and more money---haha boy was I ever wrong
Sure there is so much to do--but we can't because we never have any extra money, I stay in my little area because I am usually out of gas before the next payday from running moms taxi!
Rent is higher and no other bills went down--food is our second highest bill (kids keep eating and eating) I have started couponing like a mad women and it helps but still it sucks!!
Ian was "supposed" to get 2 more raises since he started over here--but he doesn't have time to take care of that! So we are living on the same amount of $$ that we were in GJ but with $650 more to pay in rent and more in gas--there is a problem with this!!
I miss my friends, we miss our family ugh ugh ugh

Now I know there are those out there who are like--get a job Toni--OK so I looked into that--to put K in daycare $25 a day=$125/wk, A and B in after school care-$10/kid=$100/wk plus I have to find a before kindergarden program for B--then someone to pick up and drop off the other two with all their events---so in reality can I find a job that will make up for all that and make a profit?? Probably not :(

On a good note about the area--The schools are amazing--and after the first quarter I learned Dist 51 is far far behind :( so I am glad my kids are in a school that has no budget cuts and care about my kids progress and do whatever it takes (in school) to get them where they need to be!!!

 But poor Ian is working nights this 2 week round, gets home between 6-7am and is up and gone by 1:30pm....not sure how he functions LOL

MOPS

I went to my first MOPS meeting today and it was great!!! I worked when the boys were little and had other playdates when Aydan was little, so I had never been before.  A friend of mine lives over in Commerce City area, so I joined her group--it is a little bit of a drive but so worth it!!  I met new moms and made new friends (which is really hard for me for some reason)
Can't wait for the next one!!

Oh the girls had so much fun too!!!

We "heart" you

What a crazy week!! On Wednesday Grandma Stephanie decided to go out and have a heart attack--but thank you Lord she is ok!!! It was a scary few hours (especially being 4 hours away) but things are good now and she will be going home soon!!!

Seriously, I got the news from half asleep Ian-mom in hospital, heart attack--that was it.  Yeah I panicked a little, had the kids packed and was ready to go get all the kids from school (oh yeah I can move fast haha) but by the time Ian got up, she was out of surgery and already doing good, so we will go up in a couple weeks!!

When I vaguely told the kids about grandma got sick and was in the hospital but was ok,

B-well what happened to her

M-she has a little heart attack but she is good now

B-what is a heart attack??

A-well you know when they get those white things-rub them together and put them on your chest and go baboom (in animation)

On the go--always--and I wonder why I am exhausted!! This week: soccer practice-Wedenesday, game-Saturday; Choir concert-Thursday; Football-Friday; MOPS-Friday morning-which I have to make a halloween dessert for the contest and create my secret sister gift; plus the back and forth for football pickup, theater practice drop off and pick up, school drop off, drop off and pick up Oh yeah I should make dinner too huh?!?!?!
