Here is to 2012

SO my hopes is that this year is a better one, I think we can use it!!!
Here are some of my "goals"

Money
-stop the bleeding
-get a part time job (done) and since Ian cant help watch his own kids (because his job is more important, he has to go in 2 hours early) now I have to find a sitter --gggrrr
-budget budget
-couponing better--I was doing really good at this but have slacked off some
-prepare for the years events--sports, birthdays, vacations and christmas
-put a little bit each payday into a savings account
-stop impulse shopping--I am really really bad at this, if I want it I just buy it--so I read a blog to help and it says if you want something put it on a 30 day list, so you can think about it and save for it if you want it at the end of the 30 days--I thought this was a great idea!!
-plan meals and shop for the month

Diet and Exercise
-eat better--more veggies and fruits--less sugar and carbs
-walk some everyday
-Be ready for the 5K in February
-plan meals for the month--so this will stop impulse going to Mcdonalds
-out to eat--once or twice a month only!!
-less sugar for the kids--got to get them eating healthy too!!

GOD
-this year the churchs' saying is "get closer to god" and I agree, I have the bible app on my phone, kindle, computer and I even have the old fashioned paper back bible version (haha) so I have NO excuse not to read some each day
-pray pray pray, now I already do this everyday but more wont hurt I guess
-and I hope he gives us all the answers to what we need for this year

Odd goals:
-learn something new everyday
-read read read (I got a kindle for Christmas and have read more in the past week then I did last year)
-when the weather gets nice--we get outside!! I want a camper to camp with the kids, lots more hiking too
-Less computer time (I have seriously become an addict hahaha)
-do a friend reevaluation and keep and appreciate those who are good for me to be around, and those who actually come around (seems alot of them have went their own ways--which is ok but time to stop worrying and relying on them for "friend" time (which I need) or lower my expectations of some)
-make time for me (we all know I need and enjoy this)
-more date nights with Ian (ugh even though I will have to converse with him--hahaha Just kidding)
-make Sundays family day...and have family dinners every Sunday (includes all family in town( and anyone else who wants to come over!!!)..I have a friend who started this and she is glad she did because one of her son has moved out BUT he is there every Sunday for dinner--so I think it is important to start this tradition with our kids too!!

ok so that is all I can think of right now..I am sure there is tons more but those will come as we go along this year!!
I hope everyone else has a great year too!! Here is 2012 being so much better than 2011!!!!

2011 Lets review

SO this year hasnt been the greatest for us--we did have some great things but our biggest problem (of course) was MONEY :(  BUt Lets recap

January:
Aydan swallowed antifreeze, which ended us racing to the hospital for a 2 day stay--all turned out good
Miss Alyssa turned 1, but we were too far away to celebrate
Our house got forlosed on and we had to move (while I was 8 months prego)
Febuary: (a big month)
Got into a new house (better location--blessing in descise??)
Miss Kyndal came into the world on 2-8
March:
Zach turned 14 (yikes)
April:
track AND baseball start
May:
Aydan graduated Preschool
Zach graduated 8th grade
Summer begins!!
June:
Relay for Life race and fundraising
Sara and her boys came to visit
Ian got a motorcyle
B and A had swimming lessons
July:
Aunt Quinnie and Maddie an down on the 4th for one last hoohaw by the pond
Domma and Doppa moved away..far far away :(
Z & A traveled with then to Texas
We went to Ks and Tx
August:
School starts!!
Zach starts high school, Aydan kindergarden and B preschool
Aydan turns 5
Brooklyn turns 3
Football starts
September:
Lots of Football
Soccer for Aydan starts
Miss Kaylynn is born (to Lierin and Matt) on 9-10
October:
Pumpkin patch
Halloween parades and trick or treating (A-skeleton, B-butterfly, K pumpkin)
football winds down
November:
Miss Maddie turns 2 (but we miss the party cause we are so far away)
Quintin turns 13 (yikes another teen in the house)
Ian turns 35 and I turn 29 (hahahah again)
we travel to AZ to meet miss kaylynn for thanksgiving and had a great time!!
December:
a very money tight month
Ian and I had our 6th anniversary!
orhestra concerts for Z and Q
B had a christmas program (love to hear her sing)
Santa came!!! everyone seemed very happy with what santa brought!!

I know I missed tons of stuff but that is what I can remember (lol)
Zach is loving HS and his attitude from last year totally turned around, he is teaching himself to play the guitar.
Quintin loves his sports which is good cause when messes up I can take it away.
Aydan is learning SSOOO much, he loves to spell everything out and pick out words he knows
Brooklyn is also learning so much in school and from aydan, she is in dance and loves to sing the songs she learns in school
Kyndal is growning way to fast!! She is crawling everywhere and standing more and more and will be walking soon, she FINALLY is getting a tooth (which has her in a bad mood--ugh)

Ian is just working his butt off, and I am manning the fort (well except the laundry hahahah) I have taught myself how to crochet and knit better....I have been making tons of little hats and scarves for friends and family--maybe this can be a money maker--haha who knows!!

well I think that is about all I can think of to say....although 2011 seemed horrible, I guess it was also pretty good!!
My hope is 2012 is so much better!!! (more on that tomorrow)

There is nothing better than seeing the looks on our kids faces in the morning.  First we heard Aydan come upstarirs screaming "SANTA CAME" then the excitement began (at least it was 7)

Oh Christmas Eve

What a great night it was.....potato soup at Auntie Melinda's (with Steven, Caity, Savannah, Ryna and Aubrey) sure does hit the spot!!  We all sure missed Domma, Grandpa, Auntie Q and Maddie oh and Micheal--next year we must change that!!!
