Mom's don't get sick days

First Miss K had this stomach thing...now I got it and it totally sucks :(
Ian took the morning shift, while K and I  stayed in bed all day, now Zach gets the evening shift...
Brooklyn is the best nurse maid ever, bring us water and Kyndal some cheese sticks, she keeps checking in every so often!!
Both of us have eaten some crackers and so far so good, but back to bed soon!!
I sure hope no one else gets this crap and it passes very very soon!
Seriously mom's should not ever get sick!!!

I am going to be selfish in 2015

I have to decided to work on ME in 2015....some of my key numbers for my health majorly need to be worked on (bad clorestoral, sugars, blood pressure and so on).....and I need to find my JOY....not my kids joy--mine!! I was hesitant at first because us moms live and breathe for our kids.....but my DR goes "what do you do for you"--I had no answer and she got me really thinking, she said would you let your kids not do things fun?? HA no--So this year is about me!
This doesn't mean I put my kids on a back burner--that will never happen, but in addition to all their busy schedules--I fit my time in!!
I am starting by getting back to the gym, most my numbers are up cause I am at a unhealthy weight and it depresses me!!
I have joined a running group and am going to do many 5ks this year--one a month is my goal!
I am going to get with my girlfriends here and plan nights out every month,  and so on.
Wish me luck!!

Ba Humbug

Usually I love love love this time of year. I love to bake, shop and give!!
This year--it is not there, I am tired and very cranky and on the verge of a massive breakdown (that I do not have time for)
SO I have decided next year--Christmas for us will be a vacation to the beach some where!! Santa will bring the kids snorkeling, para sailing vouchers and so on....no more of this cheap toy crap that they break in 5 minutes....So where should we go?????

The Erie Fire Dept came around to all the neighborhoods with Santa in the firetruck!! Very Exciting!!!

I think my kids are missing out

So as we draw near to my Uncles end to his battle with cancer, I have be doing lots of thinking.
Growing up we are all close to our aunt and uncle and cousins..we spend every Sunday at my grandparents house--every holiday and every kid birthday--we were always together.  As I look into how my kids are growing up--they have none of that because we all live so far apart --yes they have aunts and uncles but see them maybe once a year--they will never have that bond that we had with our aunts and uncles growing up--and it makes me sad :( Even with grandparents--my kids see theirs maybe once or twice or a few times a year--we grew up at my grandparents house every weekend!! ALL of us not just one or two of us--we were always with my grandparents.
It breaks my heart that none of my kids will every have that :(

Cancer SUCKS!!!

There are other ways to describe the evil cancer but SUCKS was the nicest thing I could think of!!
My Uncle has been battling cancer for years now, and it is finally about to win.  This is hard for our whole family to go thru as he is only in his 60s :(
When I first saw a picture of him while he went thru chemo a few years ago, I didn't recognize him cause he had no hair--I have never seen him without a full head and face of hair--I was shocked.  I did get to see him last spring break (picture>) and I am so glad I did.  I got word a few weeks ago that things are not looking good, and cancer has more or less taken over his body.
I pray for comfort, and to be pain free for him in his last few days, weeks or months!! And that is what I ask of you to pray for too!!!

He strangely likes water, tries to get in the shower and bathtub anytime he hears it.
And he is climbing trees, I thought he was stuck for a minute but he got down!!

Happy Birthday to me!!

My birthday never gets much attention, so I try not to expect much.  We went to dinner--which Q pouted (for whatever reason) A and B fought and K whined..YAY that was fun--next year I am going somewhere BY MYSELF!!!

BUT the kids were quite concerned I did not have a cake, so we bought a cake (it was not very good) and they put the candles on and sang to me--so that was nice FOR 5 minutes-----then continued to whine and fight ugh

Oh well another one in the books!!

Not much but a lot...make sense?
Besides the big kids events, these littles keep me on my toes!!
It is most awesome to watch them grown and learn every day!!

My head hurts

Poor Q is suffering from migraines and more than normal the past couple weeks.  It totally sucks that I can't fix this--seeing your kid in so much pain is no fun at all!!
The Dr gave him some tips like take ibuprofen and drink a coke or Gatorade and so on
He is going to neurologist in a couple weeks too
Pray from him!!!
