The Change

Ian came home today and goes "I think I am turning into by dad"
I began laughing because any of you that know Jim and Ian Hyrup--know they are so much alike--like EXACT!!!
Stephanie and I share and special "look" when either one of the start talking--cause we are more or less married to the same man
SO anyway I asked him "why" he thought that.....so today when he dropped the kids off at school--he started pulling weeds on the school grounds--good thing I wasn't there cause I would have rolled my eyes and said "hey Jim Hyrup come on" (i do that alot)  hahahah

First Tooth

She lost her first tooth today at school--she is so very excited!!!
(now hopefully the tooth fairy wont forget!)

Meet Pip

After a year without a kitty, I thought it was time for a new one--I forgot how funny they are!!
This is Pip, he and Kyndal are best of friends--they like to chase each other and he doesn't mind her smothering him.  He also likes to great Ian at 6:30 am in the morning and meow at the bathroom door till he lets him in--seriously haha

I absolutely love watching my kids in action!! Quintin is of course playing football--he is kickoff team and second string safety on EHS Varsity and first string safety and something else on JV
So this weekend we had our first Friday night game--it was awesome!! they WON 23-6, and today JV played but lost (we wont talk about that haha)

The varsity team was surprised with brand new uniforms!! Quintin is #30

The kids have made the best friends in our cul-de-sac (the moms are pretty awesome too--LOL)...they all came out to celebrate Aydans birthday tonight!!
We had cookies n creme cupcakes (in minecraft creeper colors) and Aydan is in Lego heaven!!

has is really been 8 years???

It is so hard to believe this little tiny toy headed boy is a growing 8 year old now!!
This child is so caring for everyone, and he is hillarious--he seriously makes me laugh every single day!!
I thank God everyday for my #3!!!

That's gonna leave a mark

Well this being our first football injury ever I'd say it is not too bad--Thank God it wasn't worse (the nurse told me about all the football injures coming in this week and they expect Friday and Saturday to be the worst day with the season officially starting--ugh)
So Q got cleated during a great tackle (he says) The dr says it wasn't deep or bad at all, they stitched it for cosmetic reasons and mainly so no infection could get int here!!!
So 5 stitches and he is good to go!!!

Now of course this happens when I leave the comfort zones and head to downtown Denver to meet a GJ friend--hah--took me an hour to get to the hospital cause of course it is 5 o'clock crazy time, but we finally made it--Q had an awesome teammate take him there and sit with him (they had those nurses bamboozled-she kept bringing them food haha)

Not a baby anymore

Kyndal is heading off to Preschool 2 days a week this year--she is so excited!!!

Bbqing

Ian has been asking every time we see Mike and Chris to help out--so he got to rub some butts--LOL
(I forgot how many) Butts were going to be shredded and donated to the local food shelter--YAY for giving back!!
Chris and Mike also entered the BBQ competition and getting 5th place out of 42 teams--WOOHOO
Chris's chicken (which usually gets 1st or 2nd--didn't make it into the top 10---It tasted amazing to us so we don't know why)
Ribs got 9th, Pork got 8th and Brisket got 2nd--IT WAS AMAZING!!!
We had so much fun (and very full) and they had a brew fest going on too--so you can imagine how happy Ian was with that too!!!
