Tiny town

This weekend while heading up to Conifer, I saw a Tiny Town sign, so we decided to go check it out!
Every building represents a historic building in Colorado (the history of each one was very cool)
Then we got to ride the train--kids loved it!!

The Erie Airshow

Saturday Erie had their very own Airshow--we have a little airport near us for all the hobby pilots.
We got to see most of their planes up close!!

We went to Bloomfield Bay pool with Steven (and his sister and niece) The kids had so much fun (ok me too--the water was not too cold!)
Aydan hit the slides and then B and K and me went to the tube slide --they loved it--they might be ready for the BIG Water World Pool!!!

Kennedy's birthday party

Miss Kennedy had her fourth bday party at Build a Bear--how fun!!!
Kyndal picked out a new Minnie Mouse Bear (with Minnie Mouse clothes of course!)

Cul-de-sac parties

I love our cul-de-sac neighbors--we have so much fun and hang out every night!! Wednesday was neighborhood night out and the Town of Erie encouraged us all to have block parties--so of course we did!!
We had pizza, and the fire truck and police car came by so we could all see inside!! then we ended the night with smores!!!
So much fun and these kiddos are such good friends!!!

Everything is peachy

We have gotten thru our first box of Palisade Peaches!! The kids love to just eat them...
I have made peach pancakes, peach strudel muffins and a very yummy peach cake with strawberry filling and peach buttercreme frosting--YUM!!!

ps. grandpa we need more peaches :_

It's been a year...

I can not believe it has been a year since we moved to Erie!!  It was a big scary move BUT it was the best thing we could have done, I am so glad we did it and that we picked Erie to live in (voted #1 safest city in CO--haha)!!
 I love this little town, the schools are great and the kids are thriving!!
It is hard to make friends when you move (for me, not the kids) But I have made some awesome friends right in the cul-de-sac across the street!! And the kids have made awesome friends too!!!
I can not wait to see what this next year holds for us--more opportunity, challenges and many more things I am sure!!!

first birthday

The cake

I was totally nervous to pipe this cake today--but with the help from Cassie over the phone, I didnt do too bad!!!
Usually Cassie is our cake girl but she is preggers and this little baby hates cake LOL so I was on my own!! Not to bad!! I think her and I can open up a bakery as soon as the funds come in hahah

Brooklyn loved the cake too!! It was vanilla with strawberry filling and buttercreme frosting! YUM!!!
