Oh my I am in trouble with this one

Guess what I am doing today???

So Brooklyn's little vajayjay is bright red again--so this time I took her in right away (I do learn haha) As soon as the dr looking in her throat she goes--oh yeah she has strep!! Just 3 weeks after last time--so she thinks someone in the house is carring strep but has no symptoms--now to figure out who....
So I got her meds and popcycles, clorox wipes to clean everything and then I am gonna enjoy some yummy almond dream bites!!!

Baby bums

My friend Cassie's sister is going to have twins!! We had a baby shower this weekend--here is the cake Cassie made--amazing!! and it was so so so yummy!!!!
I can't wait to snuggle some babies!!

Hair mask

Coconut oil--who'd of thunk it??

My scalp and hair have been super dry and itchy, So I messaged Rita and asked what should I do--she said get some coconut oil and massage it on your scalp and leave over night.  Well I have a huge tub of it, so I put some in my magic bullet and whipped it up into a lotion and put it on my hair over night--the next day super soft hair and no itchy scalp!!
This week I am gonna whip up some lotion for B's very dry skin!!!

So Quintin decided to wrestle--he wrestled when he was 5 but that was it--so can he do it?? Well duh yes he can!!!

This was the first match I got to go too--it is exciting--BUT the wait time in between matches SUCKS!!!

So I started saying you want a knuckle sandwich--to which she replies "yes and cut it like this (in triangles)" Seriously!!!!!

Coconut oil

My new favorite thing to cook with (thank you Gma Steph) coconut oil!! I have made eggs, brownies, popcorn and so much more--I also found a recipe for whipped coconut oil lotion and chap stick--these are on my to make list!!!

this is my new favorite snack--so yummy and not to bad for ya!!!

Nuts

I sneezed and Brooklyn goes "mom you scared the nuts outta me"

You airplane

So Friday is now Pizza and family game night...SO last night we played a new game called "Headbandz"--you put a card on your headband and ask other questions about your card and try to guess it--We played this at the neighbors New Years eve--it is really fun!!
BUT last night can you imagine how this went down with a 7, 5 and almost 3 yr old OH and Mr cheater 15 yr old haha

Now Kyndal (she was a unicorn) she is sitting at the table and I am trying to help her ask a question--But she is staring at my card and goes "you airplane mom"

Then B guess "balloons" thanks to Aydans clue "you are round and have a string tail and go up in the sky--then she gets jump rope and Kyndal yells "you jump rope Boobie" hahahah

we went a few more rounds like this and then I decided it was movie and popcorn time

What's for dinner

Kids get tuna casserole (or chicken of sea casserole) I get salad, sautéed mushrooms and cauliflower tots....here's to eating healthy and no carbs (I have been doing great this week)!!!

Nothing too exciting to report
--Kids are back in school (YAY!!!)
-Quintin has a busy wrestling schedule, so there will be posts on that soon!!
-Snow is still on the ground but the fridged temps are gone for a couple days (it got to 40 today)
-I have started working out (you know I am one of those January 1st starters hahah--but I must keep at it)
-we enjoyed the Rec pool this weekend--these kids are fish
-I am also trying to eat cleaner (but Zach informed me teenagers need processed food to grow--SERIOUSLY--haha)
-Speaking of Zach he is practicing already for his upcoming play (you wont want to miss it)

I think that is about all!! Until something exciting happens haha!!

Every time she gets on her bike that's what she tells us...today she wanted to get on her bike in the snow to make her journey hahahah

Poor puppy

I woke up Saturday morning with Maggie not in the living room, then I look outside to 5 in of snow.....guess who left her out all night (Ian) :( poor puppy--yes I was one mad mama!! But we thawed her out and babied her for a few hours--I don't think she will be too traumatized from the event!!

A trip to the mall

You would think they had never been to a mall before--ok ok never one this big!! they love the echo from when they screamed, Brooklyn thought the escalator was the funnest thing ever--and when Kyndal got off of it she screamed 'I made it', They were amazed when we went to the second level and could see down!!

Aydan dresses his bear up in a Darth Vader outfit and named him Dark Fluffy (yes Fluffy), Brooklyn's horse is named Sparkles and has pretty pink shoes and yellow cape, Kyndal named hers Kitty Cupcake (with Cassie's help ha) she has a pretty heart dress and sparkly shoes!!

We then went to the Disney store--where Kyndal grabbed everything MInnie and tried to get Cassie or I to buy it for her--she had an umbrella, slippers, coat, cup, bowl, and a giant Minnie--guess we know what she wants for her birthday!!!

We had lunch and then played in the play area!! They all had a great day--and I am going to bed early!!!

Happy 2014

Oh I have so many plans....but we all know how my plans end up--so this year ONE DAY AT A TIME!!!! (ok we all know I can't do one day at a time but maybe I will try hahahah)

Goodbye 2013

A few things on my list though:
-start working out again
-do some 5k's
-budget better and stick to it
-take kids somewhere on vacation
-laugh more
-play more
and so on!!

2013

What a year it was!!

Lets see: Zach turned 16, Quintin 15, Aydan 7, Brooklyn 5 and Little Miss Kyndal 2..oh and Ian and I turned 37--yikes haha
We had an awesome Spring Break that started in Tucson to see my mama and sistas and nieces (the only time we got there this year) then we ended in San Diego at Lego Land and the beach--best time ever (we will be making a trip to the beach this year just not sure where yet)
We made a big move to the Denver area--although very sad to leave our friends and family (and I whine about it alot ha) we do get to see Ian every day!! And I am really liking out area we are in!!!
Kids started school--I now have a Jr, Freshman, second grader and kindergartner--time sure flies!!
Zach was in a few plays this year--one at Central and One here in Erie, he is in honors choir here in Erie!!
Quintin played lots of baseball in GJ, and then football at a freshman here in Erie!!
Aydan played soccer this fall (he is a great encourager!!)
Brooklyn and Kyndal did dance in the spring in GJ (I miss Absolute Dance) haven't found a good place here yet, but B played soccer in the fall--she is a good little kicker!!
These kids are changing every day, I love each of their different personalities!!
Gma Stephanie went and had a heart attack in the fall--she is doing GREAT now--and she is not allowed to do that ever again!!
I found out I am gonna be an auntie again--Congrats to Matt and Lierin
We have seen some crazy weather over here--super flooding, early snow and I am sure much more snow to come!!
So all in all 2013 has not been too bad--BUT here is to hoping 2014 is so much better!!!

Mom of the year award goes to....

Not me!! Poor B has had strep for over 2 weeks because I thought it was a yeast infection--after Finally going to dr today--tested positive for strep.
But who would have thought strep showing up there (not me) and of course Mr Sicky (who catches everything the kids have) is on his way to the dr to be tested for strep throat (where we expect it to show up)
So we are in quarantine for 24 hrs until antibiotics kick in!! Lets hope no one else gets it!!!
