We headed up to Horsetooth Resevor today...I asked where the beach was, cause the one we were on was steep...they said its under the water ha....kids had fun though

We went to the zoo to see the baby seal BUT he didnt want to come out!! But all the other animals were out and playing because it was a cool rainy morning!!
We will try to catch the baby on another day!!!

So we were driving along, and we came to a stand still... WTH (I was thinking) then I saw all these guys--I am perfectly fine stopping for you all!!!

On top of the world

Today was a day I need to just get away, leave my dirty house, laundry pile and just go.... So we took a drive to Estes Park then over Rocky Mountain National Park (my first time), to Great Lake and back!
It was so nice, I literally felt like we were on top of the world, especially once we got past timberline!!
We saw tons of elk, and lots of lightning (it's alot closer when you are that high up--cool to see from my car!!)

This nasty thing was in front of my yard a few weeks ago--yes I screamed like a freaking girl. I know he is a "good" snake....ok I really think there is NO such thing as a "good" snake
