Get a Job

Zach got his first job--and he is so excited and I am for him too!! I am hoping he gets to meet lots of awesome people!!!
He will be working at Anderson Farms, a local pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn maze-- he is a yard man so he will be walking around checking trash, putting pumpkin wagons in their place and helping people out!! He starts next week!!

We LOVE peaches

While we were in GJ, we stopped and bought some Palisade peaches!! They were huge!!! I made a double batch of strawberry/peach jam and a double batch of peach jam--I must brag here--It is amazing!!!

Weekend away

We went to Grand Junction this weekend and didn'e do much at all, which was so nice!!!
We spent most of our time chillin by grandpa's pond!!

For rain and flooding--that's a first, but after watching the news it is crazy out there and still raining!!! We will venture out later on and get pictures!!!

I am loving that this rain brought cooler temps--those 90s were getting old!! But no matter what the weather is it seems we are never too happy for long--hahah but I am glad the heat is gone and it is cooler (not cold--not ready for that yet)

Stock pile

I am usually really good at stocking up on food to last us a long time, well this past 2 weeks have been so rough and now my stock pile is nonexistent---It really depresses me when I can't whip of dinner or any other meal.
I have gotten creative with dinners, and used up all the chicken, hamburger that were stocked up in the freezer, we have flown thru the chicken nuggets, fish sticks and corn dogs, and the past 3 nights we have had mac & chesse and have 2 boxes left (for tomorrow). ugh I am all out of the staples and can't not wait till Friday to restock my pantry--I hate running out of food :(
For lunch today we had cheese and crackers--woohoo--I did cut the cheese into cute heart shapes--ha mom of the year here

ugh I don't know where it came from but I have this horrid cough that won't go away...ugh (no one else has it just me) So Ian is finally home on his week off--so tonight I am taking some cough with codiene in hopes I can actually sleep all night tonight with out coughing till I puke--ugh!!

I sure am!!! I can not believe Quintin is playing in High School already!!! This is his second game but the first one I got to watch and of course he is a rock star!! He is #30

Aydan's turn--He started on Wednesday and will have games on Saturdays!! He was shy at first then warmed up and was having fun!!!

Little Miss Thing got in trouble by dad so she turned her little back to everyone on the table and pouted--then spun around and Yelled at her daddy "I Yuv You" and span back around and went to sit in her time out chair--I was trying hard not to burst out laughing!!

So I usually don't give in to some of this "all natural mumbo jumbo" But when peppermint and lavender took care of my daily headaches--I thought hhmmmm maybe.....
So when we all got sick this weekend--we lathered in oils (Ian thinks I am nuts--BUT his green snot went away with in a few hours!!) The gal who signed my up with Doterra oils put together this "BOMB" mix--that we put on our feet, we put Breathe under our nose and on our sinuses and peppermint everywhere we want (I love peppermint)
Living over here is going to turn me into "one of them" "all natural freaks" hahah just kidding but if it works I will use it!!!

who cares if mom is sick??

um no one!!! yes I know that is part of the job, but I am gonna whine about it because I can!!
A cold/allergy thing went thru the house this weekend--First Zach, then me, then Mr I catch everything because I have a poor immune system!!
I dr'd Zach up--he is doing much better
I just want to sleep is that too much to ask??...well yes it is!! there is breakfast, lunch and dinner to be make, laundry to fold, kids to entertain (you would think with 5 they could entertain each other--ha)
Then Mr Sinuitis comes home sick--I dr him up and he sleeps for 24+ hrs (off and on of course) Oh it must be nice to actually sleep off a cold--I might never know what that is all about!!

Oh well the snot is thinning (I hope) everyone is back to school and today the girls and I are getting out of the house!!
